What did you do in 2005?
Rather than writing our Christmas letter for 2005 (it’s coming, honest) I’ve just spent my time looking at my sporting activities in 2005. I’ve been keeping tabs on these in iCal for the last couple of years but this year exported 2005 into an Excel spreadsheet that I’ve been playing with. I’ve made up some distances and speeds for some activities and am sad to say that I didn’t manage to ride to work 200 times this year
I proceeded to get lost in charting and pivot tables for an hour or so, but couldn’t come up with a good graphical representation, although I made several pretty, pretty useless pictures.
On the basis that today is the 30th, and we may be going snowboarding tomorrow (but that doesn’t count against distance) here is the grand tally (subject to some revisions):
| Miles | Count | |
|---|---|---|
| Bike | 239 | 21 |
| Bike to work | 2014 | 134 |
| Hike | 65 | 7 |
| Run | 230 | 42 |
| Trail Run | 51 | 6 |
| Other | 3 | 8 |
| Total | 2601 | 218 |
