A Summer of Sport

Tomorrow starts to bring an end to an exciting summer of non-US sporting events. On TV at least.

In Pacific time:

6 am (or something like that), Wimbledon final begins

11 am, World Cup final begins

And just a couple of weeks ago, the Grand Prix was in the USA too.

At least the Le Tour (Stage 8 finishing at about 10 am) still has until the end of the month to go.

It’s strange how, just as the weather is nice enough to do something outside, all the good things happen on the television.

(The post started as a coda to how fun it was that in Seattle there is some excitement for the non-US sports that have been in the media lately, but it’s better just to think about the end itself).
