30 years ago this Christmas….

I went to see Star Wars on Boxing Day.

Utterly spellbinding, and has destroyed me forever. All the more remarkable because we rarely went to the movies and the parents didn’t get cartoons, science fiction or pretty much anything apart from thrillers and Bond (thank heavens for Bond).

    ...I think watching this has robbed me of more than 5 minutes. It’s awfulness has actually shortened my life expectancy.

    Everyone’s always so ticked off about Lucas muddling with the SW Universe and destroying the original legacy when he made the new Films 1-3.

    I’d say SW pretty much jumped the shark when Lucas asked Bea Arthur to sing. And Carrie Fisher. And when he decided to do every single other thing in this Holiday Special.

    Wow. I’m trying to think of something worse that I’ve ever seen in my entire life….

    Nope.
