7 months!
Holy cow, I am a seriously lax blogger. I can’t even remember the last time I wrote something about our dear Baby Bea who is now SEVEN. MONTHS. OLD! My goodness, it has gone by fast, all the more so with buying/selling a house, traveling and all the other craziness that’s gone down over the past few months.
In any case, our darling Bea is FLYING through the milestones at a dizzying pace. Seriously, I cannot keep up with this girl. She got her first two teeth at 4 months (and now has 4 with at least one more on its way). She started commando crawling at 5 months and can now crawl on all fours and she is FAST. She pulls herself up onto chairs and other furniture- to a FULL STANDING POSITION. Good lord, cruising and walking are not far off. And while we only started solids a few weeks ago, she is now downing rice cereal like a pro (among other foods. Sweet potato and pear are early favorites).
Last week, we started moving Beatrix into a crib for both naps and nighttime. The crib happens to be in Lucy’s room, so we are still working out the routine for both girls at bedtime. Nonetheless, Bea slept in the crib for over 4 hours the 1st night and by the 3rd night, she slept EIGHT WHOLE HOURS without waking up! That’s never happened and I repeatedly woke during the night to check on her. But all was well, and the girls seem to be doing pretty well with the change.
At her 6-month visit, Bea was roughly 90th percentile for height and weight (17 lbs, 12 oz and 27” long). Although with her physical endeavors these last weeks I can see her slimming way down and losing her baby folds (sniff). She continues to be mild mannered and was an absolute super star with our various world travels in May and June. I don’t know what we did to deserve such a sweet child, but boy does she make our family whole. I especially adore seeing the relationship develop between Lucy and Bea.
